Local/online tutoring marketplace for any subject, from school subjects to music and languages. You set your own rate and are paid directly by the student - Superprof takes no commission.
Bottom line: Yes — South Africans can join Superprof.
"you can only register as a tutor on our platform when you have reached the legal working age in South Africa" - Superprof's own support team, replying to a prospective tutor on their South Africa blog. Superprof also runs a dedicated superprof.co.za domain with South Africa-specific pricing and listings, not a generic global site.

Fully tutor-set - you choose your own hourly rate. Their own South Africa blog states: "the average hourly wage for a tutor in South Africa is R140 per hour."
Bottom line: Superprof cannot pay you in South Africa - the student pays you directly, by EFT, cash or whatever you agree. You keep the whole fee, but nothing protects you if a student does not pay.
Not through Superprof, and that cuts both ways. Their own South Africa page is explicit: "It is not possible to receive payment via the Superprof platform in South Africa." The student pays you directly - "Superprof is not involved in the payment process between tutors and students" - by whatever the two of you agree, "whether this is in cash, by bank transfer (EFT), or using another payment mechanism", and they suggest Wise where a student is paying from abroad. No commission is taken: "you will receive 100% of the lesson fee the student pays." The other side of that is no protection - nothing holds the money in escrow and Superprof will not chase a student who does not pay, so agree terms before the first lesson.

Nothing open here right now — and that is normal. Superprof is a platform you join, not a queue you wait in. Roles come and go faster than we re-check them, so an empty list here does not mean an empty board there.
Sign up directly and you will be considered as roles come in.
