We verify a narrow thing: that a platform or employer has published a statement indicating South Africans are eligible, and that the apply link worked when we last checked it. We do not investigate whether a company treats people well, pays on time, or is what it claims to be. Listing here is not a character reference.
Before sending identity documents, signing anything, or starting unpaid work, look the company up independently. Search its name alongside words like “review” and “scam”, find out where it is registered, and see whether anyone else has worked for it.
Be careful with anyone who wants money from you before you have earned any. A fee to be considered, to be “verified”, to receive training you did not ask for, or to release wages you have already worked for is the clearest warning sign there is.
A platform taking a percentage of what you have already been paid is a different thing and is entirely ordinary — that is how most freelance marketplaces work. Some legitimate platforms also sell credits to bid on work. The distinction that matters is whether money leaves your pocket before any work has come in.
Rates shown here are what the platform or employer published at the time we recorded them. They are not offers, they are frequently ranges, and actual pay depends on the work, your experience and the client. Currency conversions move daily. Treat every figure as an indication, not a promise.
A platform open to South Africans today can close tomorrow, often without an announcement. Our platform pages show the date we last checked and the sources we checked against, so you can see how fresh that finding is and confirm it yourself.
