Company Overview

Our client is a growing e-commerce brand operating across its own online store and several major marketplaces. The business is expanding its online presence and is looking to rebuild a consistent social media presence after a period of limited activity.

Role Overview

This role is being brought on to tackle a backlog of foundational e-commerce and marketing tasks, with social media as the top priority .

A previous social media hire left several months ago, so Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok have gone quiet and need to be rebuilt from the ground up — including consistent posting, engagement, and influencer outreach.

Alongside social media, the role covers online store housekeeping, marketplace listing maintenance, and a number of one-off projects. Once the initial backlog is cleared, the role is expected to settle into primarily social media management and influencer relations , with ad hoc administrative support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Own day-to-day social media across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok — create and schedule daily posts, repurpose content across platforms, and grow engagement and followers

- Support the launch and growth of TikTok, including working through existing training material and using it to plan and execute the launch

- Source and manage influencer partnerships, including product-for-content collaborations and identifying influencers open to longer-term partnerships or product exchanges

- Research and grow the brand's Reddit presence, including sourcing external support if required

- Maintain the online store — keep listings, keywords, and SEO up to date and ensure key functions and automations are working correctly

- Review AI-generated SEO blog content for accuracy, tone, readability, and brand alignment before publication

- Maintain existing marketplace listings and assist with setting up new marketplace listings by repurposing existing product information

- Repurpose social media content for additional marketplace content channels

- Manage one-off projects such as migrating reviews onto the website and researching more cost-effective shipping alternatives

- Project-manage external vendors on the founder's behalf — following up on stock reorders, coordinating samples and packaging/artwork updates, and tracking progress with external service providers

- Provide general ad hoc administrative support, chasing up tasks and keeping projects on track

Skills & Tools

- Strong, proven social media content creation and copywriting skills across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok — comfortable creating posts and reels, not just scheduling them

- Experience with Metricool or similar social media scheduling tools

- Experience with influencer marketing/outreach platforms is a strong plus

- Shopify or similar e-commerce platform experience is a nice-to-have, not essential

- Comfortable working with AI SEO/blog tools in a review-and-refine capacity rather than writing everything from scratch

- Familiarity with major e-commerce marketplaces and seller platforms

- Beauty, skincare, lifestyle, or consumer-product industry experience, particularly within social media, is a strong plus

- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage several one-off projects and vendor follow-ups simultaneously with minimal hand-holding
