Role Overview

We are seeking a South Africa-based Client Success Manager with a strong copywriting and content marketing background to support our senior strategy team within a fast-growing US-based content agency.

This is a highly client-facing role ideal for someone who understands how to create content that drives engagement, conversions, and sales. The successful candidate will combine client communication, operational coordination, and strategic content thinking to help manage and grow client accounts.

Over the next 12–18 months, this role is designed to evolve into a Senior Strategist position with ownership over a full portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, joining strategy calls, managing follow-ups, and responding promptly to feedback and requests.

Content & Copy Support

  • Assist with refining scripts, reviewing messaging, supporting content calendars, and applying direct-response copywriting principles across video content, landing pages, and email campaigns.

Production Coordination

  • Manage internal production workflows, monitor project timelines, and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

Strategic Support

  • Work closely with the Senior Strategist to maintain account momentum, support campaign execution, and help translate client goals into actionable content strategies.

Requirements

Exceptional English Communication Skills

  • Near-perfect written and verbal English is essential for this client-facing role.

Strong Copywriting & Content Marketing Background

  • Proven experience in copywriting, content strategy, email marketing, sales messaging, or conversion-focused marketing.

Understanding of Content That Sells

  • Ability to identify strong hooks, messaging angles, audience pain points, and conversion-driven content strategies.

Mandatory YouTube Experience

  • Previous hands-on experience working with YouTube content is required.
  • Candidates must have experience supporting YouTube channels through content strategy, scriptwriting, channel management, production coordination, or working closely with YouTube creators and production teams.
  • Experience within a video production agency or digital marketing environment with a strong YouTube focus is highly preferred.

Client Success or Account Management Experience

  • Comfortable managing relationships, handling multiple moving parts, and working with international clients or stakeholders.

US Hours Availability

  • Must be available to work fully aligned with US business hours (EST/CST).
