Most listings state pay. Across the 210 USD monthly figures on the South African roles we currently list, the typical band is $1,000-$2,500 per month (10th to 90th percentile); a further 9 roles quote R20,000-R80,000 per month. Somewhere's own South Africa page cites "around $18,000 USD per year" as a typical full-time salary. One outlier sales role quotes far higher and is likely an annual figure mislabelled as monthly - check the listing itself.
How the money reaches you

Somewhere does not pay you - the US company that hires you does, so the rail is set per role rather than by the platform. Their model is a one-time recruiting fee to the client, after which "you join them full-time"; they separately sell an employer-of-record service to "handle payroll, benefits, and compliance" for clients who want it, so which entity actually pays you depends on the route your employer took. Where the postings we hold say anything at all they say it per role - "paid biweekly", "on-time direct deposit pay 2x/month", and in one case "paid via Payoneer in two installments". Pay is quoted in USD. Confirm the payer, the rail and the currency at offer stage.
