About the Role: We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer (Backend-Focused) with 5+ years of software engineering experience to join our 7-person technology team, led by a CTO who provides overall technical direction.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving practical, real-world technical problems, taking ownership of their work, and building reliable solutions across our technology stack, with a primary focus on backend development.

The Ideal Candidate

● Quickly understand existing code: Able to get up to speed on an existing codebase and begin

making meaningful contributions quickly.

● Improve rather than over-engineer: Comfortable working within existing systems and making

practical improvements without unnecessary rewrites.

● Strong problem-solving: Able to break down complex technical problems and identify practical,effective solutions.

● Good technical judgment: Makes thoughtful decisions around architecture, implementation, performance, and maintainability.

● Production-focused: Builds reliable, scalable software that is well-tested and ready for production use.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend & Integrations: Design, build, and maintain robust backend services, REST APIs, and third-party platform integrations (payment gateways, clinical databases, operational tools).

• Data Pipelines & Warehousing: Improve data pipelines, BigQuery architecture, and reporting infrastructure to ensure 100% data integrity, monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Workflow Automation & AI: Build AI-powered agents and workflow automations using LLMs and modern frameworks to eliminate manual administrative and operational effort.

• Full-Stack Execution: Own existing codebases incrementally; contribute to React-based internal tools, dashboards, and operational interfaces as needed.

Qualifications

Non-NegotiableAI & Automation Experience

• Must have hands-on experience building and deploying real-world applications using LLM APIs, AI agents, or modern AI frameworks (e.g.,LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI).

• Actually built and shipped AI-powered features or automations, not simply experimented with AI tools or used LLMs as part of their development workflow.

Non-NegotiableSensitive & Regulated Data Experience

• Must have professional experience working with sensitive, confidential, or highly regulated data in a production environment.

• This includes experience with data requiring strong security, privacy, access controls, compliance, or regulatory safeguards.

• Relevant experience may come from HealthTech, FinTech, LegalTech, GovTech, or othe r industries where protecting sensitive data is a core part of the technology environment.

• Candidates should understand the practical requirements of building and maintaining systems where data security, privacy, and compliance cannot be treated as an afterthought.

Core Technical Stack

• Primary Languages: TypeScript / Node.js (Strong emphasis), SQL, Python (beneficial for AI/Data)

• Data & Cloud: PostgreSQL / Supabase, BigQuery, Looker Studio

• Frontend / Internal Tools: React, Modern Web Frameworks
