Sales Development Representative (Remote)

Employment Type: Full-time, Remote (contract via talent partner) Preferred Regions:  Strong overlap with U.S. business hours required  Schedule: Standard business hours with availability into U.S. evening hours. Demos frequently land between 5:00–7:00 PM U.S. time, as most prospects run their shops during the day. Reports to: Founder

About the Company

We are a rapidly growing U.S.-based software company serving the phone and computer repair industry. Our platform gives independent repair shops an affordable, purpose-built way to manage tickets, inventory, payments, customer messaging, and reporting — all from the web or a native iOS app.

The company was founded by an operator who owns repair shops himself and built the product because no affordable, fit-for-purpose solution existed. After running it successfully in his own stores, the company is now entering a dedicated growth phase and taking the product to market across thousands of repair shops nationwide.

About the Role

This is the company's first dedicated sales hire — a foundational seat, not a plug-and-play one.

Sales has been founder-led to this point. With a growing lead list and a portfolio of businesses competing for the founder's time, the company needs someone to own the top and middle of the funnel: activating outbound, running demos, and converting shop owners into free trials.

Just as important, the outbound funnel is still being proven. Early on, this person will help test and refine what works — messaging, campaign structure, demo flow — rather than simply executing a finished playbook. As the motion is validated, the role shifts toward a repeatable, KPI-driven cadence, with room to grow as the team scales.

This is a light, high-volume software sale, not an enterprise cycle. Prospects are independent, non-technical shop owners, so the win comes from warmth, hustle, and clear communication far more than technical complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound & Pipeline

  • Manage and activate automated cold email campaigns through the company's CRM
  • Respond to and qualify inbound replies generated from outreach
  • Keep pipeline organized and follow up consistently to book demos

Demos & Conversion

  • Run quick, friendly product demos tailored to independent shop owners
  • Guide prospects to start a free trial by the end of the call
  • Consistently hit demo and trial-conversion targets

Funnel Optimization

  • Track campaign performance and surface which messaging is resonating
  • Test and iterate on campaign structures and outreach sequences
  • Contribute to sales scripts and flag supporting materials that would help conversion

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the founder on strategy and feedback
  • Escalate larger, multi-location prospects to the founder when appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of outbound sales, SDR, or inside sales experience, ideally into SMBs
  • Strong phone presence and excellent spoken and written English
  • Comfort running product demos and asking for the sign-up
  • Hands-on experience with a CRM and email outreach or drip tools
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and building as they go
  • Availability to run demos into U.S. evening hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • SaaS sales experience (non-enterprise / SMB)
  • Background in payments, POS, merchant services, or software sold to small-business owners
  • Experience selling to non-technical or owner-operator buyers
  • Experience helping build or optimize an outbound funnel

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are

  • A hunter who takes initiative and chases the close without being told
  • Personable on the phone, able to match a customer's energy and build rapport quickly
  • Resourceful and comfortable operating without a finished playbook
  • Coachable and eager to learn a new industry — no repair experience required, we will teach you the vertical
  • Entrepreneurial, and excited to help shape a sales motion from the ground up

Why Join Us

  • A true ground-floor role with direct access to the founder
  • Real ownership over how the sales motion is built, not just executed
  • A clear growth path as the function scales, for the right person
