About the Role: The Sales Representative is a full-cycle sales professional responsible for driving revenue through the sale of exhibitor booth space, product placement opportunities, signage advertising, and sponsorship packages for the annual trade show. This role combines new business development with account management, owning both exhibitor acquisition and renewals while identifying opportunities to upsell booth upgrades and sponsorships. The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling trade show exhibits, event sponsorships, or media advertising, thrives in a phone-heavy sales environment, and is motivated by revenue targets and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Prospect and close new exhibitors through outbound phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings
- Generate qualified opportunities and build a consistent sales pipeline
- Present exhibitor packages and sponsorship opportunities tailored to client needs
Account Management & Renewals
- Manage and renew existing exhibitor accounts
- Upsell booth upgrades, product placements, signage advertising, and sponsorship packages
- Build long-term relationships that drive repeat business year after year
Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts within the CRM
- Track opportunities from prospecting through contract execution
- Provide regular reporting on activity, bookings, and revenue performance
Event Sales Execution
- Manage the annual sales cycle, including early-bird pricing, promotional deadlines, and event sell-out milestones
- Coordinate with internal leadership on large sponsorship opportunities requiring executive involvement
- Ensure timely follow-up and exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process
Qualifications & Skills
Hard Skills
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in trade show exhibits, event sponsorships, conference, expo, or media/advertising sales (required)
- Demonstrated history of achieving revenue targets with verifiable booked sales results
- Proven success managing both new business development and exhibitor or client renewals
- Experience selling over the phone and conducting virtual sales presentations
- Proficiency with HubSpot or comparable CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zoho, or Pipedrive
- Excellent written and spoken English with confidence communicating with U.S. business owners
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to beauty, hair care, wellness, or consumer products companies
- Familiarity with U.S. trade shows, expos, and exhibitor buying behavior
- Experience selling sponsorship packages, advertising, or event marketing solutions
